Then, nail it down to the roof with a roofing hammer. Next, place the first roll of roofing onto the roof. Nail it down using a hammer.
Continue the same process on the remaining roof. Each row should be overlapped by 3 in. To protect it from the elements, walk on the roof and cement all the nails. This roofing job should take around a full day.
Cement
Cleaning the roof is necessary before installing rolled roofing. Ensure the roof surface is free from dirt, twigs branches and other debris that may cause damage to your new roof. It's important to clean the surface, removing any loose particles or debris that may fall from the roof during construction.
Mark the chalk line 35" up from the bottom of the roof with the measuring tape. It is essential that you have this chalk line as a guide to help you when applying the first course.
